Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking to fill a production operator role within our yarn finishing and winding operations. You will safely operate heatset machinery, manage finish application, and help meet quality and production goals.

Responsibilities include maintaining production records, creeling and winding, and performing safety procedures while adhering to company standards in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heatset machinery to meet quality, production, and efficiency goals; act as primary source of finish application in yarn conversion.
• Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards.
• Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs.
• Selects and stages tubes for winder operation.
• Doffs off finished yarn packages as required.
• Maintains daily production records.
• Run both creeling and winding side when needed.
• Uses black light to check there are no mixes.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
