Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, seeks a production associate to support yarn production operations on the plant floor. You will work to keep lines running smoothly by following safety procedures and quality standards.

Candidates with a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and willingness to train are preferred; prior yarn/manufacturing experience is a plus. Lift up to 50 pounds; teamwork is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Successful completion of required on the job training.
Successful completion of health and environmental safety training.
Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards.
Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs.
Selects and stages tubes for winder operation.
Doffs off finished yarn packages as required.
Maintains daily production records.
Run both creeling and winding side when needed.
Uses black light to check there are no mixes.
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
Follow all established SOPs and safety procedures.
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
Perform other tasks assigned by management.
