Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Superba Operator for the 2nd shift to safely operate heatset machinery, meet quality, production and efficiency goals, and serve as the finish application lead in yarn conversion.

You will work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with mandatory health and safety training; a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred and previous yarn/manufacturing experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals.
• Function as a primary source of finish application in yarn conversion resulting in resistance to wear, dimensional stability and its design meeting the specifications of the product.
• Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards.
• Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs.
• Selects and stages tubes for winder operation.
• Doffs off finished yarn packages as required.
• Run both creeling and winding side when needed.
• Uses black light to check there are no mixes.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
