ChristianaCare, Heart Failure Unit (5E) at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE, seeks a Registered Nurse for a 72‑hour per pay, day/midnight rotating schedule. Provides high‑acuity care for heart failure and post‑operative cardiac patients, including those with chest tubes, LVAD, and pacing wires.

The unit emphasizes advanced assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, medication administration, and patient education, with opportunities for growth. RN licensure in Delaware or eligibility required.

Competenze

• BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Previous stepdown experience preferred.
• Previous critical care experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility to practice in Delaware.

Mansioni

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for high-acuity heart failure patients and post‑operative cardiac care.
• Perform advanced assessment with continuous hemodynamic monitoring and medication administration.
• Educate patients and families and promote understanding of conditions and treatments.
• Detect early changes in patient condition and respond promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on post-operative care including LVAD and open‑heart surgery patients.
