Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, DE seeks an Registered Nurse for the Heart Failure Unit (5E). This full-time, day/midnight rotating role involves high-acuity care in a 36-bed cardiac unit, including post‑operative open-heart/LVAD patients. Expect 72 hours per pay with weekends/holidays as required.

You will provide advanced nursing care with hemodynamic monitoring, education, and early detection of deterioration, supported by a comprehensive benefits package and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least one year of RN experience required.
• Stepdown experience preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• DE RN licensure or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity heart failure and post-operative cardiac patients.
• Perform advanced assessment with continuous hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and educate patients and families.
• Early detection of changes in patient condition and prompt escalation of care.
