Job summary

Christiana Care Health System is seeking an RN for the Heart Failure Unit (5E) at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. This full‑time role rotates day and midnight shifts in a 36‑bed specialized post‑critical cardiac unit, including post‑op open‑heart surgery and LVAD patients.

Expect comprehensive nursing care with advanced monitoring, chest tubes, central lines, and pacing wires. BSN preferred with licensure in Delaware; here you will improve outcomes and support critical care teams.

Qualifications

• At least one year of RN experience required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Commitment to BSN within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high‑acuity cardiac patients.
• Perform advanced assessment and continuous hemodynamic monitoring.
• Administer medications and educate patients and families.
• Detect early changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
