ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Heart Failure Unit (5E) at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. The 36-bed unit focuses on high-acuity cardiac care, including post-operative open-heart surgery and LVAD patients.

RNs perform advanced assessments and administer medications with emphasis on patient education and family teaching. This full-time, day/midnight rotating role requires Delaware licensure or eligibility, BLS, and ideally CCU/stepdown experience.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Previous stepdown or critical care experience preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Heart Failure Unit patients.
• Perform advanced assessment and continuous hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and educate patients and families.
• Early detection of changes in patient condition and rapid response.
