Sprouts Farmers Market in California seeks an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers make healthy choices by delivering outstanding service while leading one of the store's busiest teams.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to take and give direction.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Proven leadership to motivate and maintain staff with knowledge of reports and goals.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong organization and planning skills; handle multiple tasks.
• Must lift/move heavy loads (up to 60 lbs milk trays) and boxes as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Help lead a team to deliver high quality product and service and great customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort deliveries; ensure safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
