Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in California is hiring an Assistant Grocery Manager to help lead one of our busiest store teams. You’ll support the Grocery Manager with department merchandising, ordering, and inventory controls while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll supervise a team, assist with training, scheduling, and achieving sales, margin, and safety goals, and ensure compliance with health and sanitation guidelines. Join our growing, values-driven team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years retail management experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with ability to interact with customers.
• Proven leadership to build and maintain staff, plus knowledge of margin reports and sales numbers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication and teamwork.
