Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a results-driven healthcare consultant to collaborate with clients on complex assignments. You will build financial and operational models, conduct benchmarking, and drive data-driven recommendations across engagements.

The role emphasizes teamwork, critical thinking, and a hands-on approach to improving EBITDA and cash flow for healthcare organizations. A strong healthcare background and advanced Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of healthcare-related consulting or healthcare operations experience.
• BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or healthcare fields such as MHA/MPH.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare industry and financial concepts.
• Excellent Excel modeling and financial analysis skills; experience with pro forma analyses and cash flows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial and operational models to assess client performance and inform recommendations.
• Benchmarking and root-cause analyses, including data sampling to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Map processes and perform gap analyses while managing client and internal projects.
• Conduct client interviews and observations to define current state and actionable improvement items.
• Analyze data for root cause analysis and KPI development.
• Prepare client-ready deliverables and assist with presentations and proposals.
