Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a healthcare-focused consultant to join our Healthcare Industry Group. You will build financial and operating models, perform benchmarking, map processes, and conduct interviews to identify actionable improvements.

You will analyze data to inform recommendations and prepare client-ready deliverables while coordinating multiple workstreams. Strong accounting/finance knowledge and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of healthcare/healthcare consulting experience.
• Working knowledge of the healthcare industry.
• Strong Excel and modeling skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting and finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven project management and organizational abilities.
• Experience reporting to multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct operational data analysis and KPI development.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel; experience with Visio/Tableau/Power BI/SQL/SPSS is a plus.
• CPA/CFA or progress toward such certifications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial and operational models to assess client performance and inform recommendations.
• Benchmarking and root-cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
• Map processes and perform gap analyses while coordinating client and internal projects.
• Conduct client interviews and observations to define current state and actionable items.
• Analyze data for root-cause analysis and develop reports and KPIs.
• Prepare and deliver client-ready presentations; contribute to proposals and content.
• Manage workstreams or projects, coordinating inputs and driving completion.
