Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a healthcare-focused consultant to develop and maintain financial and operational models for client performance improvements. You will work with senior teams to deliver data-driven recommendations across healthcare systems and related organizations.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous analysis, and clear communication, with opportunities to contribute to strategic growth, cost optimization, and interim management projects within the Healthcare Industry Group.

Qualifications

Three years of work experience in healthcare, consulting or healthcare-focused roles.
BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance or related healthcare fields (MHA/MPH).
Strong Excel and modeling skills; ability to create synergy analyses, pro forma analyses and cash flow projections is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to present to all client levels.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain financial and operational models to assess client performance.
Conduct benchmarking and root-cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
Map processes and perform gap analyses while managing client and internal projects.
Conduct client interviews and observations to define current state and actionable items.
Analyze data for root-cause analysis and prepare client-ready deliverables.
Develop presentations, pitches and proposal content; contribute to deliverables.
Manage workstreams or projects and drive them to completion.
