Job summary

Valley Children's Healthcare is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for employees, patients, visitors and contractors. You will respond to incidents, perform health screenings at entry, and support dispatch and surveillance operations to safeguard hospital property.

The role requires a high school diploma, BSIS Guard Card within 90 days, BLS certification, and a California driver’s license. Evening shifts, full-time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Guard Card (BSIS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• California Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum six months in security; healthcare security preferred; one year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and patients.
• Respond to incidents and apply de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Perform visitor health screening and health screening at entry.
• Operate surveillance equipment and assist with dispatch coverage.
• Comply with force policy and privacy requirements.
