Job summary

Valley Children’s Healthcare is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, visitors and contractors on VCH property, including health screening at entry and responsive incident management.

You will use de-escalation techniques, operate surveillance, support the Emergency Department, and follow the organization’s policies while delivering compassionate customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BSIS Guard Card required.
• BLS required.
• California Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, physicians, patients, visitors and contractors on VCH property.
• Respond to emergencies using de-escalation techniques and proper use of force policies.
• Complete visitor identification and health screening upon hospital entry.
• Provide relief dispatch coverage and operate video surveillance equipment.
• Ensure safety of the Emergency Department and report hazards.
