Job summary

Northwest-Health-Porte is seeking a part-time Scheduling Clerk to coordinate patient appointments across clinics at 3630 Willowcreek Rd, Portage, IN. You will work with physicians and admin staff to schedule consultations, tests, procedures, and follow-ups, ensuring accurate time and resource use.

You will enter patient data into the EHR, resolve scheduling conflicts, notify patients of changes, assist with check-in, and generate scheduling reports for the department.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Healthcare Administration preferred.
• 0-2 years scheduling/admin/customer service experience preferred.
• 0-2 years EMR/scheduling software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments for consultations, tests, procedures, and follow-ups.
• Notifies patients of confirmations, cancellations, or reschedules with instructions.
• Enters and updates patient information in the EHR and scheduling systems.
• Manages scheduling conflicts ensuring proper resource allocation.
• Provides general administrative support including calls, filing, and paperwork.
• Assists with patient check-in and registration and provides instructions.
• Communicates with clinicians to align with clinical priorities.
• Generates scheduling reports and tracks appointment trends.
