UNC Health in Cary, NC is seeking a full-time Registration/Scheduling Clerk to ensure accurate and complete scheduling information for procedures. You will obtain demographics, verify physician orders, and communicate prep details to patients and office staff.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED, about one year of related experience, and familiarity with scheduling software. Strong customer service and medical terminology knowledge are a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; one year of related experience or training preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings with patient registration or scheduling is a plus.
• Medical terminology knowledge is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of scheduled procedures; obtain demographic info and relevant records.
• Communicate procedure and prep information clearly to patients and office staff.
• Obtain accurate physician orders for procedures.
• Meet productivity and customer satisfaction goals.
• Distribute updated department schedules with complete clinical information.
• Maintain knowledge of diagnostic procedures and scheduling software.
• Support as a departmental receptionist and office assistant as needed.
• Register patients, including contract registrations for Managed Care and government payors.
