Job summary

Keizer Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable Scheduling Coordinator to join our healthcare team in Keizer, OR. This on-site full-time role supports nursing staff scheduling, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains four-week master schedules with accuracy and clear communication.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing and leadership to optimize staffing, address absences, and keep residents, families, and staff informed.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of staff scheduling experience (healthcare preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage nursing staff schedules and all related records.
• Create and post the four-week master schedule in compliance with Hourly Scheduling policies.
• Ensure staffing patterns meet operational and regulatory requirements.
• Adjust staffing based on census changes, call-offs, budget considerations, and approved leaves.
• Process requests for time off, vacation, sick time, and other absences with Director of Nursing approval.
• Track absenteeism and scheduling documentation and keep leadership informed.
• Comply with Resident Rights policies and ensure they are upheld at all times.
• Provide administrative support as assigned (as needed).
