Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for Independence Health and Rehabilitation Center in Independence, OR. The role focuses on creating, maintaining, and managing nursing staff schedules to ensure coverage and compliance.

You will collaborate with HR, nursing leadership, and facility management, adjust schedules for census, admissions, and staff availability, and maintain accurate attendance and timekeeping records.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain nursing staff schedules with at least two weeks notice.
• Adjust schedules based on staffing needs, census fluctuations, admissions, and availability.
• Communicate schedule changes to staff and address scheduling conflicts.
• Maintain records of attendance, time-off requests, and shift swaps.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, labor laws, and PBJ submissions.
• Collaborate with management to understand staffing needs and budget targets.
• Use scheduling software to create and update schedules; train staff as needed.
• Report labor hours to leadership daily.
