Job summary

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS-P certification preferred.
• Athena EMR experience required.
• At least five years in physician practice billing and coding.
• Provider credentialing and hospital privileging experience.
• Three to five years of management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise revenue cycle team; provide guidance and support to ensure success.
• Monitor revenue cycle workflow including billing, coding, claims processing, and payments.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
• Oversee credentialing for current physicians and onboarding for new providers.
• Analyze and report revenue cycle metrics; identify improvements and implement actions.
• Collaborate with departments to optimize processes and financial performance.
• Train and develop team members; foster continuous learning and improvement.
• Monitor productivity and ensure calls are answered timely.
• Resolve complex billing and payment issues; act as escalation point.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations and best practices.
