Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee the full revenue cycle from pre-admission to discharge, driving cash collections and compliance across centers. You will lead a diverse business office team and partner with Admissions, Clinical Reimbursement, and Social Services to ensure accurate patient accounting.

The role emphasizes financial stewardship, training, and process improvement within a collaborative, multi-department environment. Strong RCM expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Billing and collections experience required, preferably in long-term care.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle performance metrics.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a business office team.
• Collaborative mindset for working with Admissions, Clinical Reimbursement and Social Services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full revenue cycle from pre-admission to discharge and optimize collections.
• Lead a high-performing business office team (e.g., Assistant BOM, Bookkeepers, Receptionists).
• Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate patient account management.
• Act as financial liaison during resident journey, including admissions and discharge.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and corporate guidelines and segregation of duties.
• Use revenue cycle metrics (bad debt, cash collections, AR aging, DSO) to drive improvements.
