Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a Reimbursement Coordinator to obtain referrals and prior authorizations, schedule surgical procedures, and manage patient check-in. You will act as a liaison among patients, providers, and insurance entities, ensuring accurate communication and documentation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, healthcare experience, and proficiency with medical terminology and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of healthcare experience or related experience preferred.
• Experience with providers and insurance for prior authorization preferred.
• Scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures preferred.
• Excellent computer, multi-tasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Works with providers, staff, patients, and insurance companies to obtain referrals and prior authorizations.
• Performs scheduling of surgical procedures and manages phone communications.
• Greets and checks in patients and directs them to appropriate staff.
• Serves as liaison between patients and medical support staff.
• Maintains a positive attitude and age-appropriate patient care.
