Job summary

Rockhill Orthopaedic Specialists in the Kansas City region is seeking a part-time Referrals and Scheduling Coordinator to support insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for imaging. The role collaborates with multiple referring offices to ensure proper documentation and timely patient flow.

Responsibilities include verifying orders with radiology, scheduling CT/MRI and injections, and coordinating with clinics to obtain needed authorizations while maintaining excellent patient service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Prior experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check eligibility, obtain insurance authorizations and referrals prior to patient appointment.
• Obtain authorizations for CT, MRI, and physical therapy orders.
• Obtain authorization, benefits and schedule injections.
• Obtain authorization and benefits for DME’s.
• Authorize and schedule STAT appointments.
• Send therapy orders to requested facility.
• Send referral and records to specialty physicians.
• Follow up on CT and MRI appointments.
• Work with clinic to obtain authorization by doing peer to peer.
• Communicate verifications for coordinating authorization of scheduled tests or injections.
