Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a Senior Business Development Leader to drive growth in healthcare markets across the NY Tri-State region. You will lead client engagement, shape regional strategies, and oversee high-value healthcare projects from pursuit to delivery.

The role requires a deep track record in expanding healthcare portfolios, strong negotiation and financial oversight skills, and a professional engineering license.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of professional experience in healthcare projects (NY Tri State or Northeast).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationships.
• Experience leading medium to large healthcare projects as Project Manager or Project Director.
• Experience serving as Engineer of Record on healthcare projects.
• Confident communicator with technical and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and client engagement across healthcare systems.
• Develop and execute healthcare market strategies regionally.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of healthcare opportunities.
• Oversee proposals, interviews, and pursuit strategies for major projects.
• Lead projects as Project Director or Exec Sponsor; manage governance and commercial outcomes.
• Manage financial performance through risk, commercial, and contract oversight.
• Partner with regional healthcare leaders on national projects and service growth.
• Mentor senior engineers and project leaders on client engagement.
• Advance healthcare design delivering better patient and staff outcomes.
