Job summary

Midland Memorial Hospital seeks an experienced medical office administrator to oversee operations, staff, and billing for one or more offices. The role ensures efficient routines, compliance, and strong liaison with leadership and providers.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), plus management and coding experience. Knowledge of biometric testing and clinical exposure are a plus; EHR expertise with Athena is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Management and Coding experience.
• Knowledge of Biometric Testing a plus.
• Clinical experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an orderly and efficient office routine.
• Liaises with Executive Director/Director/Quality Manager for provider and staff communication and training as needed.
• Prioritizes work activities, evaluates effectiveness, and adjusts workflows.
• Provides coverage as needed.
• Works closely with physicians and staff.
• Reviews Athena EHR Workflow Dashboard for daily actions.
• Coordinates and approves provider billings with CPT/ICD coding.
• Coordinates and manages Medical Records requests.
• Coordinates and manages employee schedules.
• Orders and reviews medical supply orders.
• Responds to patient issues and emails; helps resolve insurance referrals.
• Assists administration in creating practice-specific policies.
• Attends meetings with Management, etc.
• Details of other duties as assigned.
