Job summary

Abrazo Health in Phoenix is seeking a Physician Practice Manager to oversee administrative and operational functions across assigned practices. You’ll ensure efficient operations, inventory control, personnel management, and strong patient relations while supporting Tenet Healthcare’s mission.

The role requires 3+ years in medical practice management, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong MS Office and EMR/billing system experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in progressive medical practice management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare fiscal management and HR practices.
• Experience with EMR and billing systems; ICD-9/10 and CPT knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate work.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Meaningful Use.

Responsibilities

• Oversees goals, improves office flow and evaluates procedures.
• Manages staff scheduling, cash reconciliation, charge entry, and controls.
• Collaborates with the CBO to optimize A/R and minimize denials.
• Manages HR: interviewing, hiring, onboarding, evaluations.
• Monitors budget and expenditures to stay within parameters.
• Prepares monthly reports with recommendations for management.
• Assists strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with OSHA, CLIA, Medi-Cal, DHS.
• Drives incentives and Meaningful Use compliance.
