Job summary

STV Group in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support healthcare capital projects, serving as part of the owner’s representative team. You will help coordinate design and construction activities, monitor project controls, and foster collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and healthcare stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in healthcare, hospital, pharmaceutical, or life sciences construction, and can work within active and occupied

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, building sciences, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in project management or construction management, preferably healthcare-related.
• Experience across design and construction phases and familiarity with project controls.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/construction management software.
• Experience in owner’s representative PM/CM roles and working in occupied healthcare facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the project manager in planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout of healthcare projects.
• Coordinate among architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, facilities teams, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor design and construction activities for compliance with requirements and project objectives.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, schedules, cost reporting, change orders, POs, invoices.
• Track milestones, risks, action items, and concerns related to cost, schedule, quality, or operations.
• Support meetings and maintain project documentation, minutes, reports, logs, and correspondence.
• Review drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, change requests, and contractor documentation.
• Assist with procurement, bid evaluations, coordination, and contract administration.
• Support construction in active healthcare environments while minimizing patient and operations impact.
• Coordinate commissioning, equipment installation/relocation, shut downs, phased occupancy, and turnover.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
