Job summary

STV, Inc. seeks a Healthcare Assistant Project Manager for our PM/CM team in NYC and Long Island. The role focuses on capital programs, hospital/healthcare facility upgrades, and representing the owner and stakeholder groups throughout the project lifecycle.

You will guide design professionals and contractors, manage budgets and schedules, and lead risk and quality assurance in a fast-paced healthcare market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Demonstrated history of managing minimum of $10 million Pharmaceutical, Laboratory, Healthcare or related construction types.
• Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally to establish credibility on project teams.
• Knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise.
• Knowledge and ability to supervise people including recruitment, training, performance management, and people development.
• High proficiency with general Microsoft applications, including MS Project and Share Point.
• Demonstrated experience with project management software and applications.
• Ability to forecast project challenges and define solutions to maintain compliance with safety protocols, quality, schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PM in leading cross-functional healthcare projects with demanding resources, risk, and complexity.
• Monitor design and construction activities to ensure all phases of work comply with contracts and quality standards.
• Forecast, identify and address areas of potential liabilities and risks; manage budgets and cash flow analyses.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure objectives are met.
• Maintain client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships; manage conflicts.
• Communicate complex ideas to executive leadership to gain buy-in and support project decisions.
• Assist in evaluating, developing, and selecting standards, protocols, policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance, direction, and instruction to less experienced team members and colleagues.
