Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our client’s payroll team in El Monte, CA. The role focuses on accurate payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and employee support.

The ideal candidate has a degree or HR certificate and 2-3 years of payroll/HR experience, with strong attention to detail and proactive communication. This is a 6-month assignment with a daytime shift and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or related field, or a certificate in Human Resource Management.
• 2-3 years of payroll and/or HR administration experience.
• Extensive knowledge of labor regulations, HIPAA compliance, and wage & hour laws.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Payroll Team with processing the company's payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time for semi-monthly and biweekly pay periods.
• Maintain payroll records, execute company policies, and support benefits administration and employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and records to auditors.
• Respond promptly and professionally to payroll inquiries from managers and employees.
