Job summary

Southern California Hospitals is seeking a Payroll Administrator to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in line with company, union, and government policies. You will manage hourly payroll for union and non-union staff, maintain employee data, and audit payroll data for accuracy.

You will also verify overtime, process deductions, and ensure remittances to external agencies are correct, while aligning terms with the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll for hourly employees.
• Familiarity with union payroll terms and regulations.
• Strong data accuracy and auditing skills.
• Ability to process garnishments and other deductions.

Responsibilities

• Processes union and non-union hourly payroll including new hires, terminations, rate changes, garnishments, and other employee records data.
• Sets up and maintains employee information in payroll software and assists in attendance system upkeep.
• Audits payroll in related software to ensure data entry accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Audits daily line-up sheets to verify overtime approvals by operations.
• Monitors and processes forms for hourly employees (overtime, vacation, LOA, sick pay, bereavement, etc.).
• Processes and ensures accurate remittances to external agencies.
• Administers and ensures terms and conditions align with the collective agreement.
