Qualifications

• Must be a current sophomore studying Operations, Finance, Engineering, Business Insurance, Health Care Management, or related programs.
• Excellent research skills and strong curiosity to derive insights.
• Strong collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills with deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to work with business areas.
• Ability to see tasks through to completion independently and as a team.
• Proven problem solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Demonstrated project leadership and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day experiences of collaboration and partnership with various leaders and teams; focus on small scale deliverables, building interpersonal relationships, exposure to cross divisional elements of the Wellmark organization
• Work closely with subject matter experts to create desk-level procedures and process/system documentation into user-friendly documentation
• Collaborate with Operations Analytics on reporting and data analysis
• Take lead on ad hoc research projects and share findings on online provider information
• Provide testing support by documenting traceability and findings to ensure accurate and timely outcomes
• Desire to strengthen business acumen in health care industry and self-driven team environment
