Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System is seeking a Network Administrator II to support, optimize, and secure our enterprise network across clinical, operational, and administrative services in a 24/7 health care environment.

The role requires configuring switches/routers, VPNs, wireless networks, firewalls, and related infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with IS teams are essential for reliable patient care and business continuity.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field required; an equivalent combination may be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Configure, administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise switches, routers, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, VPNs, and related infrastructure.
Administer TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, ACLs, QoS, NAC, and security configurations.
Monitor availability, performance, capacity, and security using enterprise tools; identify trends and remediation actions.
Troubleshoot complex wired/wireless/remote-access connectivity issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Lead network projects, coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams; ensure minimal patient-care disruption.
Create and maintain network diagrams, inventories, standards, procedures, and documentation.
Support change-management, cybersecurity, incident management, and disaster recovery activities.
