Job summary

The University of Kansas Hospital is seeking a Network Engineer II to design, implement, and support our enterprise LAN/WAN environment across multiple sites. You will serve as a SME for network operations and participate in capacity planning, monitoring, and ongoing improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in network administration, strong routing protocol knowledge, and CCNP/CCDP or ITIL Foundation. This on-site role offers growth and collaboration within a complex healthcare network.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in network administration in a multi-site organization.
Experience with routing protocols, data center connectivity, and network hardware installation.
CCNP/CCDP and ITIL Foundation preferred.

Responsibilities

Design LAN, Campus and WAN infrastructure for data, voice, and wireless services.
Provide Second-level SME support for network operations, performance engineering, deployment, security and capacity incidents.
Maintain 24/7 uptime for mission-critical network services.
Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues.
Mentor Level I engineers and document network diagrams and procedures.
Implement new technologies and share technical improvements with the Network Manager.
