Job summary

IMEG in Anaheim, CA is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program. You will work with experienced engineers on analysis, design, and oversight of mechanical systems for healthcare-focused MEP projects.

Responsibilities include supporting project documentation, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and conducting periodic job site observations while helping manage project budgets and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written form.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical system design tasks in accordance with codes and company standards.
• Research commercially available equipment and resources for project use.
• Support client communication, project notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design and schedule needs with cross-functional teams.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring progress.
