Job summary

IMEG Corp in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program. You will assist with mechanical system design, support project documentation, and participate in site observations while collaborating with cross-functional teams on healthcare-focused MEP projects.

The internship offers hands-on experience, a mentor, and a path to potential full-time opportunities within a 100% employee-owned firm, with emphasis on energy-efficient design aligned with industry

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical system design tasks per codes and standards.
• Research equipment and resources for project use.
• Support client communication and project notebooks; maintain permanent records.
• Coordinate design and schedule with cross-functional teams.
• Document design decisions and client instructions; monitor progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final check.
• Assist with addendum prep and issuance.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support contracted services.
