Job summary

IMEG, a 100% employee‑owned firm, invites a Mechanical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program in Ontario, CA. You will assist with mechanical design portions, equipment research, and cross‑disciplinary coordination across architectural, structural, electrical, and other teams, gaining hands‑on experience on real projects.

Over the internship, you will support budgets, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to education-focused projects aligned with energy‑efficient

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Prior internship in building design consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of mechanical systems projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment.
• Assist with maintaining client relations and project documentation.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions, and monitor progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
