Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Anaheim, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program. The internship provides mentored, hands-on experience assisting in electrical system design, analysis, and documentation for healthcare-focused MEP projects.

Interns will work under experienced engineers, contribute to project coordination, budgeting, and field observations, and gain exposure to BIM/CAD tools and office teamwork within a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Prior internship in building design consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical design portions for building projects.
• Assist with engineering analysis and design oversight.
• Assist with researching equipment and project resources.
• Maintain client relations and project notebooks/documentation.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical disciplines.
• Document design decisions and meetings for permanent records.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations as required by the contract services agreement.
