Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a medical environment performing medical verbal and written interpretation and translation; leading and prioritizing staff work; acting as a resource to staff on complex cases.
• Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in a medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for development and implementation of system-wide translation and interpretation.
• Leads strategic planning for language services across the system.
• Ensures quality monitoring and improvement initiatives in translation and interpretation services.
• Maintains relationships with management, staff, and medical staff to support LEP and deaf/hard-of-hearing patients.
• Promotes Translation and Interpretation Services within the health system.
• Develops budgets with the director and monitors variances.
