Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to partner with our Executive Chef and help lead a busy kitchen in a healthcare setting. You’ll bring great food to the table, develop the team behind it, and help create a dining experience that matters to patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

Healthcare experience is welcome but not required. You’ll use your culinary skills to drive quality and cost control in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of culinary experience, including experience leading or training a kitchen team.
• Background in restaurants, hotels, resorts, catering, healthcare, or high-volume food operation.
• Confidence working across kitchen stations and producing high-quality food.

Responsibilities

• Lead food preparation and service while maintaining quality, flavor, and presentation.
• Coach cooks and kitchen staff across stations; set expectations and foster growth.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menus, ordering, inventory, and new culinary programs.
• Monitor food and labor costs while preserving guest experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and enforce food safety daily.
• Support the team to deliver when pace is high and assist as needed.
• Partner with the broader team to meet patient, visitor, and staff needs.
