Job summary

Wyandot Memorial Hospital is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance to hospital departments and users. The role, based in the Information Technology Department, is full-time with a standard schedule of 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus on-call rotation and holiday coverage. You’ll help install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, networks, and devices to support daily operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in IT.
• Prior IT support experience required.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with LAN, HIS, and web operations preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end users.
• Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications.
• Maintain antivirus protection, system security, and data backup procedures.
• Educate staff on cybersecurity awareness and IT best practices.
• Support meeting and conference room technology such as projectors and video conferencing systems.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and inventory of IT equipment.
• Collaborate with IT team members and leadership to support system improvements and technology initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
