Job summary

Washington County Hospital and Nursing Home is seeking a full-time IT/Maintenance Technician to handle ticket-driven computer and network issues, assist with EMR software, VPN access, and PC deployment. This role requires on-call every other weekend and reporting to the IT Director.

The position also includes a maintenance track handling plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility upkeep, with occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

Experience or education in the IT field is preferred.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Windows 10 and 11/Windows Server is a plus.

Responsibilities

Complete work using tickets/work orders related to computer problems, domain account/access, peripherals, software applications and phone system issues.
Troubleshoot and correct problems in person or remotely.
Configure and install new or replacement computers, switches, and network printers.
Assist with desktop application installation, maintenance and troubleshooting EMR software, VPN access, MS Office, Windows, etc.
Install and deploy new PCs and notebooks, including data migration.
Take calls as required.
Maintain and improve the network.
Reports directly to the IT Director.
Assist IT Director.
