Job summary

OrthoAlaska LLC is seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems and provide end-user training. The role supports hospital EMR portals, and duties include setting up computers and training new hires.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating systems, word processing, database applications, spreadsheet applications, email, network environment, IP/VPN environment and diagnostic.
• Knowledge of computer training principles and techniques and customer service-related concepts.
• Knowledge of computer programs and computer hardware and troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Works with CIO and Director of IT to set up new computers; install, reconfigure or reinstall operating systems and software.
• Sets up and helps train new hires on computer hardware, software, and other equipment.
• Provides employee end-user’s with Level 1 Tech Support for phones, computers, hardware peripherals, printers and business-related software.
• Assisting employees with the set up and ongoing access to hospital EMR portals.
• Records and files all computer problems, documenting corrective action taken within OrthoAlaska’s ticket tracking software.
