Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, Washington, is seeking an IT Supervisor to lead a Critical Access Hospital system, ensuring reliable, secure, and cost‑effective IT operations that support clinical care, regulatory compliance, and business continuity.

You will manage the Help Desk and cybersecurity, oversee system integrations with EHR/ERP, lead projects, policy governance, and budgeting, and mentor staff while coordinating with clinicians, executives, and boards to sustain high

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or related work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in IT with at least 3 years in management or leadership role supporting healthcare environments.
• Direct experience supporting hospitals or health systems, familiarity with EHR & ERP systems, PACS, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
• Expertise in virtualization platforms, server and storage architecture, networking (LAN/WAN), cloud services, VOIP, backups, and endpoint management.
• Proven experience building security programs, performing risk assessments, and managing incident response.
• Experience with HL7, FHIR, APIs, interface engines, and third‑party integrations.
• PMI/Agile project management, budgeting, vendor negotiation.
• Strong leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Help Desk personnel and the timely assignment, action on, and closure of trouble tickets.
• Oversee portions of the day‑to‑day IT infrastructure, including networking, desktops, endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Plan, prioritize, resource, and deliver IT projects on schedule and on budget using formal project management practices; maintain project portfolio, status reporting, and post‑implementation reviews.
• Lead information security program including managing the Network and Security Analyst I, risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, identity and access management, security awareness training, and HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
• Lead integrations between EHR, ancillary clinical systems, financial systems, and third‑party services; ensure data integrity, interoperability standards, and HL7/FHIR where applicable.
• Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, procedures, and change control processes; chair or participate in IT governance and clinical‑IT committees.
• Prepare and manage IT operating and capital budgets; negotiate and manage vendor contracts, SLAs, and service relationships to ensure value and continuity.
• Recruit, develop, and manage Help Desk staff as well as the Network and Security Analyst I. Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, mentor technical staff, and build a resilient on‑call rotation.
• Maintain and test DR and business continuity plans; coordinate recovery exercises and ensure rapid restoration of critical systems.
• Define and track KPIs such as uptime, mean time to repair, incident counts, project delivery performance, security metrics, and budget variance; report to the IT Director.
