Job summary

Summit Pacific Medical Center is seeking a Network & Security Analyst I to provide cybersecurity operations, network administration support, and security services. You will collaborate with IT leadership, MSPs, and stakeholders to safeguard information systems and technologies.

The role includes monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, remediation, audits, and developing cross-functional competency for backup network administration responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, or related field.
• 1–3 years in IT, cybersecurity, or network administration.
• Foundational knowledge of networking, operating systems, and enterprise tech.
• Strong troubleshooting, analysis, and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the future SOC and security vendors on alerts and events.
• Investigate, document, and elevate cybersecurity events using logs and evidence.
• Participate in incident response, containment, remediation, and recovery.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, analysis, remediation tracking, and validation.
• Perform authorized vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Coordinate remediation with internal teams and vendors.
• Support security audits, HIPAA activities, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with administration and improvement of SIEM, endpoint security, and firewalls.
• Support enterprise network operations and infrastructure projects.
• Provide backup coverage for defined network administration tasks.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow change control processes.
• Stay current on threats, technologies, and best practices.
