TEKsystems in Syracuse, NY is seeking a versatile Desktop Support / Systems Administrator to support healthcare technology and Windows-based environments. You will handle help desk tasks, system administration, hardware troubleshooting, and network support to keep end users productive.

The role includes imaging, provisioning, migrations, remote assistance, and collaboration with vendors. This contract position is onsite in Syracuse with pay between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour, plus eligible

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Desktop Support, Help Desk, Systems Administration, or Technical Support roles.
• Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft environments.
• Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, configuration and deployment.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1-3 technical support for end users including hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS, desktop apps, peripherals, and connected devices.
• Configure, deploy, maintain, and support specialized hardware and technology platforms.
• Perform system imaging, device provisioning, inventory management, and workstation setup.
• Support software upgrades, system migrations, and post-deployment issue resolution.
• Diagnose connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and LANs.
• Utilize remote support tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues for users across locations.
• Assist with user account administration, permissions management, and general system configuration.
• Work with vendors and internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and procedural updates.
