Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks a Materials Management Inventory Control Analyst to support efficient procurement, inventory accuracy, and cost-reduction initiatives within the hospital supply chain team.

You will partner with Procurement, vendors, and hospital departments to optimize par levels, run reports, and maintain Lawson/Crystal systems to ensure daily operations meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field with 6 months of experience, or a High School Diploma with 2 years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred CMPR certification.
• Preferred Bachelor’s in Business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages efficient acquisition systems for items managed by Materials Handling (MH).
• Maintains systems ensuring accuracy of perpetual inventory counts and locator systems.
• Manages reorder systems with par levels to balance service levels and inventory.
• Develops cost reduction programs and provides data to measure progress toward targets.
• Generates reports (ABC analysis, usage history) to maximize inventory efficiencies.
• Counts and distributes supplies daily to meet operational needs.
• Counts through Lawson recommendations and physical counts to determine orders.
• Acts on purchasing decisions and coordinates with vendors and hospital teams.
• Coordinates special deliveries and back orders to meet patient needs.
• Maintains competencies and trains staff on inventory management and Lawson functions.
• Participates in hospital committees as assigned.
