WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Materials Handling Attendant to receive, stock, issue, and distribute supplies and equipment across departments. You will use Workday and Zebra handhelds to complete transactions, maintain accurate inventory, and support Surgical Services room stock.

The role requires lifting up to 60 pounds, standing for long periods, and delivering high-quality service to clinicians and staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

• Respond to requests for supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory and enable efficient distribution.
• Capable of physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds.

• Respond to requests for supplies and equipment per policy.
• Serve as initial contact for departmental inquiries from customers.
• Use Workday and handhelds to perform receiving, inventorying and stocking transactions.
• Process returns and re-stock to correct bins, disposing of obsolete material as needed.
• Maintain high quality customer service in person and over the phone.
• Report stock shortages to Inventory Control Analyst or Supervisor.
• Inspect Code Carts and other kits to ensure functionality and accuracy.
• Coordinate with SPD and Nursing staff to locate required items.
• Print and attach patient charge labels where applicable.
• Train new Materials Handling Attendants and assist in orientation.
