Job summary

NYU Langone Health seeks an Instructional Designer (FGP) to join the Ambulatory Access Operations Team in Manhattan. The role plans, develops, and implements instructional activities, curriculums, and e-learnings for the Faculty Group Practice network to support patient-centered care and high-quality outcomes.

You will design learning solutions for online and in-person formats, collaborate with stakeholders, craft storyboards and prototypes, and apply adult learning principles using tools like

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an instructional designer in a corporate learning and development environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional systems, instructional design, adult learning theory, training and development, or performance technology.
• Formal certification in Instructional Design or ISD is highly preferred.
• Experience building online and in-person courses for adult learners from the ground up.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools and graphic programs; strong written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of diverse instructional modalities from e-learning to in-person and blended programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align training with FGP goals and operations.
• Create detailed plans, storyboards, prototypes, facilitator guides, and job aids.
• Apply adult learning principles and ADDIE/SAM methodologies to projects.
• Maintain standards for online course development and ensure consistency across projects.
• Travel as needed (approx. 30%) for learning program oversight.
