Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Instructional Designer (FGP) to plan, develop, and implement learning solutions for the Ambulatory Access Operations team and the Faculty Group Practice network. You will align training with operational goals and drive patient-centered care through effective education.

Responsibilities span e-learning, in-person and blended programs, content curation, and leveraging Storyline, Captivate, and other tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design or related field.
Formal certification in Instructional Design or ISD preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an instructional designer in a corporate learning environment.
Experience building online and in-person courses for adult learners from the ground up.
Proficient with Microsoft tools and authoring software (Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Captivate).
Knowledge of ADDIE and rapid design methodologies (e.g., SAM).
Strong project management, detail orientation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Lead design of diverse instructional modalities from e-learning to in-person and blended formats.
Develop content aligned with FGP goals, ensuring training remains fresh and impactful.
Apply adult learning principles and learning science to improve programs.
Create detailed plans, storyboards, prototypes, guides, workbooks, and job aids.
Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs, ensuring consistency across projects.
Adopt ADDIE/SAM/design thinking and manage projects to timely delivery.
Travel up to ~30% as needed for program oversight.
