Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an Innovation Portfolio Strategy Principal to identify opportunities, translate ideas into profitable programs, and guide senior executives on enterprise-wide strategy across Medicare and population health.

You will oversee the clinical and population health sub-portfolio, collaborate with design, engineering and operations, and drive go-to-market plans while maintaining a startup mindset and agile practices in a remote, US-wide role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public health, or related field.
• 10+ years of technical experience, clinical strategy, consulting, or innovation with a focus on digital and/or population health products.
• 2-3 years of leadership/project management experience.
• 3+ years of health care experience focused on Medicare populations.
• Experience with healthcare data and analytics, contemporary technologies, managed care admin functions and care delivery models.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships including executive and management of audiences, and external vendors.
• Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with experience identifying trends and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of the clinical and population health sub-portfolio of solutions; lead high-impact projects.
• Coordinate across strategy, design, engineering, clinical, and operations to align with partners and member needs.
• Develop and coach junior team members, both as a direct manager and cross-functional leader.
• Translate ideation and discovery into strategic direction and project plans for pilots and launches.
• Partner with external digital health companies to co-develop products or programs when appropriate.
• Define KPIs and plans for data ingestion and optimization to meet customer needs across segments.
