Job summary

Vivo Healthcare University is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to lead, direct, plan and coordinate policies and activities for the HR department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The role includes ensuring nursing coverage, scheduling, payroll reporting, and adherence to privacy and employment laws across three shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, directing, and coordinating HR activities in a healthcare facility.
• Knowledge of employment laws, wage and hours rules, OSHA, and privacy regulations.
• Ability to liaison between personnel and management and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the HR department.
• Maintain job descriptions and evaluations for staff positions in compliance with laws.
• Review requests for new or replacement personnel and arrange interviews.
• Verify applicants and coordinate interviews and onboarding.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure proper records.
• Ensure right to work documentation is current and filed.
• Create and maintain staff schedules and track attendance.
• Provide reports to management on staffing, hours, and agency usage.
• Post monthly schedules and manage trades in the DON's absence.
• Coordinate daily with HR to enforce attendance policies fairly.
• Deliver timely reports to DON and Facility Administrator on staffing issues.
